Decorative Concrete in Kingwood

Dense tree cover and a history of water, both of which affect what a deck has to survive.

Kingwood calls itself the Livable Forest, and the tree canopy that earns the name also defines the condition of concrete underneath it. Surfaces stay shaded, stay damp, and collect organic matter in a way that open suburban slabs do not.

That produces the staining and slickness we see across shaded neighbourhoods, but Kingwood adds a second factor: parts of the area have taken flood water. Concrete that has been submerged and dried repeatedly ends up with surface damage and residue that ordinary cleaning does not resolve.

Both are resurfacing problems rather than replacement ones, provided the slab underneath is still structurally intact. That is the first thing we check.

What we do in Kingwood

If a slab has been through flooding, tell us. It changes the preparation — any contamination in the surface has to come out before a coating will bond properly.
