Decorative Concrete in West University

Small lots used intensively, where every square foot of outdoor surface counts.

West University Place has some of the smallest lots of any established Houston neighbourhood, and most have been rebuilt — the original 1930s and 40s cottages replaced by houses that use nearly the whole plot.

What is left over for outdoor space is compact and heavily used. A pool here is often a plunge pool with a narrow surround, and a patio is a defined area rather than open yard. When the surface is that small and that visible, plain grey concrete is a much more noticeable choice than it would be across a half-acre.

Compact also means the work is quick. A small surround is a short job, and the difference it makes to how the back of the house reads is out of proportion to the area involved.

What we do in West University Place

Narrow side access is the norm here. We bring equipment sized for it rather than assuming we can get a truck round the back.
