Decorative Concrete in The Heights

The Heights has some of the oldest housing stock inside the Loop, and the outdoor concrete reflects that history. Very few of these properties were built with the patio they have now. Slabs were poured in stages across decades, so a single back yard can have three different pours at three different levels and three different colours.
That is the most common job we do here: making a patchwork read as one surface. Coating over the whole area handles the colour mismatch, and the joins between pours are addressed as part of the preparation.
Lot sizes also push a lot of the outdoor living into a small footprint. When the usable yard is twenty feet deep, the surface underfoot carries more of the visual weight than it would in a suburban back yard.
